Does the cream have steroids in it? Jock itch is caused by yeast isn't it? Some creams come with a steroid called hydrocortisone that stops itching as well killing the fungus. Go back to your doctor and ask him if you can use this kind of cream for your infection. If you can it will help the itching.
it's cause by moisture in that area, use baby powder or some sort of body powder every morning and in the evening at home lay around in your under shorts for ventilation, preferably boxer type shorts.
