I don't think that was him really asking you out. But it's definitely a sign that he wants to! I think you should call him. It always feels so much better to actually hear the other person's voice. Have a nice conversation and see how things take off from there. It sounds like it's just a matter of time . . .Help...guys and girls advice?
Yeah he is sorta asking you out. He wants you to make the first move. If a guy gives you his number that means he is putting the ball on your side of the court. Its your move now. Just call or even text, if you don't wanna call, but at least contact him because obviously gave you his number for a reason.
I don't think he's quite asking you out. But maybe he wants to go out with you, but is too shy to ask, so he wants YOU to ask HIM. The messages are kind of confusing, but call anyway soon. Not straight away though. Why don't you just ask him out yourself? What harm could it do?

Nah, I don't think he's asking you out but he's definintly showing you some interest. Keep in contact with him but don't presume anything until things become less sketchy %26amp; more obvious :)
